? about rims

i'm starting to look at new rims for the stang.
i have the turbine wheels now. and am thinking about going to pony's or cobra R's

i like the cobra R's more however i'm concerned about the fact that i can't get them any smaller then 17 inches.

i know a larger wheel will mean less performance and a more expence tire.

but how much if the difference in 1/4 mile performance and tire cost
between a 16 inch er and a 17 inch.

i plain on keeping at least 2 of the stock whees to put a slick on for the track days.

Get the 17's... 17" tires don't cost too much more than 16"s nowadays since just about every car has them now. Street performance from 16 to 17 is minimal; and if your keeping the stock wheels for slicks then you're set for the strip.

actually, the 17's should actually handle a bit better becasue of the shorter sidewall and lower profile. your performance is going to be more based on tire selectin than rim size.

Get 17 inch Pony's! They are very nice wheels.
