Do I have to return the GT's computer back to stock before connecting the sct x3 to my laptop?

I downloaded the x3/livewire updater and i don't think my laptop recognizes my sct x3. what could cause this problem and how can i install the drivers for it?

I followed the instructions from the bamachip's email that i received. when I click on "Live Load Tunes" it seems like it wants to open a new smaller window, but it closes on its own.

I tried updating firmware after I connect the sct x3, but it won't do anything at all.
Do I have to format the sct x3?
    need some help here.

NEVERMIND. I fixed it. All I had to do was properly install the driver.:bang:

But I do have one question. Even after loading the tune into the sct x3, and then into the car's computer: Can I still adjust the firmness of the shifts?

I programmed the car with a 93 RACE tune. If i can adjust the firmness of the shifts, what would be the best set up for running at the track?

EDIT: Thanks to Bamachips for the tune files. Price was great and I received them a day after I ordered them. Which is pretty fast. I test drove the car with 93race and it felt incredible. I also drove it with 93performance, and it also felt great.
