New car and I was looking around rying to figure out the surgin idle when letting off the gas below 4500rpm.

I discovered the the Greddy Type R vavle the is setup as a bypass valve was fully closed and the vent was seal with a plug. I'm assuming this means it's not operating at all.

How do I adjust it to the right spring tension? When do I want it to open?

    Thanks.

The vent was seal with a plug, does that mean that the BOV exit is blocked? That could probably be causing your surging idle if the air is not allowed to exit the system. You want to run a tube from the BOV exit to the air inlet of the S/C for a bypass setup.

Unless you are making boost the BOV should be open to atmosphere or to the s/c inlet for metered air.

As for the tension it shouldn't make a difference unless you hear it leaking while making a lot of boost and seeing how you have a powerdyne 6# this shouldn't be a problem.

The valve outlet is tubed back into the s/c inlet.

The breather(not outlet) on the valve is plugged. This is a small connection like the vacuum line connection.

The valve has an inlet, outlet, vacuum connection and "breather".
