AHHHH Headlight help please

I would post pics but i am work and can't. I just got some new headlights in. I opened the hood, pulled the wiring out from the old headlight, but now i can't get the black ring off the headlight, and i can't get the headlight out. I don't want to break it, i know i should have gotten a chiltons for the car but i have not yet. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

OK panic over. I figured it out after i sat down and had a drink. I thought about it and just turned the black ring around the headlight farther to the right and they just popped out.
