Hey guys,

I am having a hell of time with an airbag code. A few months ago my 1990 started beeping from the behind the radio. I learned this was the airbag monitor. Annoyed by it, I unplugged it and left it that way until inspection time came around. Fast forward to now.

I plugged my monitor back it...it flashes code 8. I replaced the monitor with a salvage part which flashed a code 10 (I think it's bad). So I started checking sensors (while still attached to the car) and they all tested good as per the Ford shop manual and Mustang 90-91 Air Bag Diagnostic Codes.

So it still isn't working and I buy a "new" and guaranteed working module from airbagcenter.com.

Hooked up the new monitor today and it flashes code 8. So now I'm lost and don't know how to attempt to fix it. View attachment 120106

Can a clock spring cause a code 8?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
