repair companies want way to much to repair the "stock" hood, so i figure i should just get an aftermarket while i'm here....... what do you guys think of this....... or try to fix the stock hood..... its all the same amounts

The one at the top is the California Dream hood. Not sure who makes it, but I remember, the Street Scene Equipment Mustang was called the California Dreamer. I doubt there's any relation though seeing as how the car pictured above has the Xenon kit on it. Kris
This is the other RK sports hood (GTR) I was talking about, standard scoop look to it but it's also piped for ram air like the california dream hood. Just doesn't sit as high all the way across the hood. http://www.rksport.com/image?product_id=18011000&rank=1&size=mid The other hood is the Extreme-GT carbon fiber hood by ViS racing, more of an import company but they do make quality carbon fiber products.
I bought the hood back when it was on sale but have not put it on my car yet. It actually does not sit as high as it looks in the pics and basically looks like the stock hood. I like it because it isn't too crazy, but is different enough to make the car stand out. I am hoping to get mine on my car this week and I will be sure to post some pics so that it can help you decide.
and i am not far away, i would also think about buying your stock hood off you if you wanted to sell ?
I really like that hood... Will have to keep it in mind if they keep messing up the Shelby dang it...
I love that hood 2003gt. I'm not a big fan of in your face racer boy look, but that hood looks muscle w/o kicking sand. It looks like the hood on the concept verts that came out in advance of the 05's. I wonder if it would look good w/o the rest of the street scene lower skirt.
that first hood is badass. Thats like the one on the concept car GT that came out a while back, which looked much better than the one they released. Id get that hood if I had an 05+!
Thank you for the offer, but I think I am going to keep the stock hood just in case something happens to the aftermarket one. Sorry, I really want to sell it to you, but if I do and something happens then I will have to hunt for another one. I agree with you completely and those are exactly the reasons I like the hood . I will be posting pics of my car with the hood on as soon as I get it done.
