I am finishing up my 351 swap project and want to upgrade my alternator, and wanted to use the ford 3g style. also eliminating the regulator. has anyone done this or have a wiring diagram telling how to hook up the wires,I did this on my merkur xr4ti and it worked great. the stock alt that is on says 40 amps and its older than dirt. also I am putting a serpentine belt set up on it. so the newer alt should work as far as the belt goes
