Aluminum head reliability. How many miles on your heads?

I've been looking for a set of aluminum heads and it seems like I haven't found a set of heads with 3,000 miles or more without having a valve job, repair work or new guides installed. Are they really that unreliable? Pull the heads every winter to go through them? If this is the case I just might go cast iron. Who cares about the weight. I'll but a carbon fiber hood to make up the difference. haha I'm looking for all your feedback. Thanks inadvanced.

Aluminum heads are very reliable. In todays cars, alot of the block and heads are both made out of aluminum. All heads would need a valve job or what not if put under the same conditions. The one thing that you have to watch is the temp because the heads can be warped. That would be the fault of the driver, not the head itself. No reason to be afraid of them, just buy them.
