I've got some Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish that does wonders on by billit interior pieces and my friends mag wheel and was wondering if I could use this stuff on the edge on my stock Bullit rims. The edge looks like brushed aluminum but I'm still not sure if it's safe. Any success/failure stories would be a great help.

If the rims have a clear coat protection on them you will not be able to polish them. Try polishing in one small area.. If you dont see any black buffing residue then STOP.IT HAS A CLEAR COAT PROTECTION on it. You dont want to remove the clear coat. Just put a goodsealant wax on them. You can then top them off with High Gloss

Thanks for the input. I think there is a clearcoat over the top because it doesn't have that "metal feel" that it looks like it should (if that made any sense). However I will try a little spot to see if it blackens.
