I was wondering if there is still a problem with the Tremec TR3650 transmission. I have a 2001 Mustang GT that needs a rebuilt transmission at only 55,500 miles. I was considering getting a 2007 Mustang GT.

I'm not trying to scare anyone. Sorry if I did.

The only problem I've heard of is the 2 bottom bolts that bolt the trans. to the engine are sometimes not there causing the spacer plate to vibrate at certain rpm's.

I took my '05 GT into the dealer to complain about excessive play in the manual trans and they ended up replacing the whole transmission under warranty (only 1500 miles on the car!). Apparently there was a TSB on metal shavings in the pan and mine had the metal shavings.
