A friend was at the Monterey Historics races at Laguna Seca last weekend and says he saw a pre-production SVT Shelby GT 500 convertible on display. He was told several things that are contrary to all that I've read to date. They said the coupe would be able to be ordered in Oct. for Jan. '06 delivery, the convertible version would be later in the year, and he swears the convertible on display had independent rear suspension. Does anyone know if any, all, or none of this is accurate??
Yes i work at ford and i went to a class in Detroit Michigan and drove 8 laps around there test track. It is a very fast car. 135 in third. The Ford GT does 140 in third so not too far behind!!! Tell me what u thinnk of it.
Here's some pictures of one of the pilot cars taken this past Saturday 8-20-05 down at Mustang Alley during the Woodward cruise The guy from SVT I talked to (didn't get his name) said that the coupes will be out next Summer as an 07. Didn't say anything about a droptop though.
im sure it will get more refined as time goes on. The only news ive heard about it is that I'm putting my order in soon. At a discounted price as well (dont ask me, i wont tell you)
