    But not in Canada.....

these heads that are getting delivered to me are going to cost me a ****load to get over the border with the shipping companies....

he's got a flat rate going anywhere in the states, so I'm wondering if I could have these things shipped to one of you, and pick it up from there, and save myself the ridiculous shipping fees...

the guy is in missouri, i think that's in the middle of the country, but new york is less than an hour away from me...hell, if i had a boat, i could make it there in 20 mins...

anybody?? I know this isn't an everyday question, but most of the regulars in this section, I know, and I've learned to trust quite a bit

Thanks for anything you guys can offer or suggest :nice: :SNSign:

im about 1.5 hours from the border (syracuse represent!) taking 81 straight up to canada where it turns into the 401.

you looking to have them shipped tp a US address then personally shipped (as a gift or whatever to get around tax) or just meet up?

what are you worried about? shipping charges or duties? who are you using to ship it?

i just bought a new spoiler and having it shipped for $35 all the way from texas by usps. ups and fedex wanted like $50. if you have them shipped using ups, clear the customs yourseld on it. it will save you on the duties but still pay taxes.

sometimes if you tell the shipper to mark them as a gift you can get away with paying nothing but i've been bitten a few times with that.

also tell them to put in a smaller item value to pay less duties and taxes.

I live in Sarnia, On, right across the river from Port Huron, MI. I have an account with a company that accepts all my packages for 5$ a parcel. I have whatever shipped there, scoot across, pay my 5 bucks, and take a chance at the border.

Even when I do have to pay taxes and duty, it's still way cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

Might want to check into something like that.

I guess you really gotta define what is close to Canada... How far into the US you willing to drive man... I live in NE CT (a ways from the border) and will be driving out to Ithaca NY in the next week or so. But that probably isn't goign to help you.

oh, i thought I kind of defined it in my first post when I said I'm very close to new york...:D

Urban, you'd be my guy. The situation isn't the border fees and such, it's that this guy has said he'll ship flat rate of 65 bucks to the united states....when he checked up for the border, he started spewing out numbers of 125 per head. I'd rather cross the border and pick'em up myself, but I'm not going to pay twice the price for shipping that I paid for the item.... and that's before the border rapes me.

Iffffffff you'd be able to have the heads shipped to you, I could just take a leisurely drive down at some point soon and pick'em up. It'd be a good drive and a chance to meet some US stangers as well...

    do I sound crazy?
