No pics to offer, but the black wheels look better IMO. I like the dark blue gunmetal color/w polished lip on dark cars too.

I agree with Jerry. The black is classy yet has some polish to it (and will show off your brake hardware like you want Mike).

I like your current wheels, but they do stand out a bit (contrast).

I like the Bullitts alright, but the tires look square to me, and that is going to suck. :D

I'm just not a fan of black bullitts :(

The vague lines of the dark center area creates no accentuation for the rest of the wheel, making the profile view appear to be a shorter size rim (17 looks like a 16, 18 like a 17 etc)

For the "dark, sporty look" I prefer the ROH ZS-Racing pieces:

Those ROH wheels do look pretty good. I definitely want to stick to the dark spoke/polished lip theme. I just fell in love with the look after looking at it every day on my '03 GT.

Even anthracite bullitts look dark in certain light.

The HUGE fenderwells on these mod cars make all 17's appear smaller in diameter than they truly are (proportions) ... I think these cars look good with 18's minimum and 20's max.

Anyhow, I have yet to see any "factory" athracite bullitts that "appear" smaller in diameter than they are ... compared to black units.

Just my visual opinion ... if you don't see this optical illusion, that is all that really matters :nice: I think black 18's look good ... as to me they appear to be more as a 17"

    Mike,

I think the black ones look really good. A friend is putting the 17x9 black bullitts on his bright red and black 91 LX.... whenever he does the 5 lug conversion. He had the grey bullitts already, and sold them to me so he could get the black ones after he saw them on a car and literally fell in love with them.

He wanted to try the 10.5 rear wheels also, but I told him it would be much more work than he could handle and then his car would never get finished!

He got his 9" replicas from a local place that sells on ebay for like $400 something plus tax. They really look great in person.

I've been asking around and i guess to make the 10.5's work you'd need to do some serious work to the rear of the car. You'd have to ditch the tails and quads and massage everything with a BFH and roll the fenders. I am not looking to do that as I think LX's need the tailpipes.

So most likely i'll stick with 17x9's out back. Now i'm just debating on if i should run 17x9's up front or 17x8's for clearance. I'd run 245's up front and 275's out back.

It's a shame though, i really want to do 10.5's. Deep dish would look sweet

Yes, we went through the same conversations on wheel and tire size. He debated on the 17x8 vs 17x9 and settled on the 9" since he got a great deal. And both of us like the wider tire than wheel look. I think he settled on some 275 Nittos for the rear and is going to get some 255/40/17s for the fronts. I know Matt90GT ran them on his wheels and they looked/ worked fine. My friend's car is not his daily driver, so he can put up with some things I wouldn't or couldn't (like rotating tires!)

I've seen the pic of that coupe before, and it sure does look nice. Are the fronts 17x9s or can you tell? They don't look as wide as the rears, but do look wider than stock.

I'd like to find the person that owns the coupe and see what he did. It seemed like I thought he was in Austin, but it could also be here in Houston.

:stupid: They look 100X better than some run of the mill Bullitts (regardless of the colour) that everyone and their grandmother has on their car.

I'm pretty sure those are 18's. They look to be 18x9's and 18x10's. From what i have read, it seems easier to fit the 18x10's on a Fox than a set of 17x10'5s.

Thing is 18" tires are $$$$$. So i'd rather stick with 17's

Those would be 17 x 8's...rubber up front is 235/45/17, in back...245/45/17, but I should've went with 275/40/17. Next time.
