Me and a buddy are thinking of trying to make a solid steering shaft ourselves...just wondering if anyone's ever done it?
The idea is to simply remove the bottom inch or so where the rag joint is and weld in a solid replacement that will bolt up in the same way. Anyone see a problem with this? My buddy can weld like nobody's business so strength won't be a problem. What makes the Flaming River solid shaft so special?
