Trying to run a Sirius Sportster Replay. Have it set up to run with the stock FM modulator but want to hard wire it. In a post someone enlightened me to the P.I.E connector

Despite it saying it doesn't work with the Mach 460, someone assured me that if it had the 20-pin CD changer connector it would work.

So I pulled out the Mach 460 today. I think it does have the 20-pin connector, but not sure.

It's currently being used by a connector with 3 wires on it. I took it off and it does have 20 pins inside.

    Does anyone know for sure?

I also beleive in addition to the PIE i'd need an RCA to 3.5MM adapter, like this, which i could pick up at radio shack correct??

Notice the part number in the above picture? I beleive the radio code is the last 3 digits. My radio says 815 and on their website they list

    2001-2003 Mustang - Radio Series 815 or 868

SO i think i'm all set right?

Reason I want to go with a PIE connector over a regular modulator that connects to the antenna is because anytime the Sat radio is on, it would come over the speakers. To listen to the radio or CD i'd have to shut it off. If i use the PIE connector, i can cycle without shutting the SAT radio down, and it would allow me to still get sports score updates even if i'm listening to regular radio or a CD.

i'd like the answer to this too. I have a feeling it isnt going to work. Aparently on some radios when you hit the CD button twice it switches over to an AUX CD changer. I dont think we have that option on the MACH 460. Hmmm...i wonder if anyone has tried it. Too bad the PEI connector is too expensive to just buy it and try it

You just need to buy an RCA to 3.5mm jack adapter at radio shack.

Looks promising. I'll let you know how it works out. I ordered the PIE adapter and Pro-Fit mount on Monday. SHould be here soon.
