I would like to see a pic of the 2000 cobra R hood on a saleen.Does anyone have one?I am getting the KB 2.6 and need another hood.I think I like the 95 style better but haven't seen the 2000 on a saleen.Someone please help me figure this out.I found a pretty good deal on a 2000 but don't want to be dissapointed with it and wish I got the 95 version.

whats wrong with the E-hood i recomended? looks alot better than an R-hood, and it flows with the saleen kit alot better

    hood

well i highly doubt who ever is saying this is correct, becuase as far as ive seen and talked to kb, not many people have the 2.2 2v kit, i was told i was the second person to own it, but besides that i dont know many people who have an e hood, due to its high price, as far as fittment ill show you some picture, the only thing you have to watch it that you have the right iac, where the connection goes to the side, now on to the pics! also the 2.6 the the same hight just longer.

look real close at the way the iac goes

There is a guy named Don over at modularfords.com that has a s281E and he upgraded to a 2.2 and said his hood would not fit.I think he also said that there is no difference in height between the E & heat extractor hood.I am considering this 95 cobra R hood.

    hoods

im not trying to be offensive here so dont take it that way, the guy your getting your info from is retarted, i own both hood's, and as you saw on my car thats an E-hood and a 2.2kb, also the E-hood has a huge rise in it, its no comparision to the regular heat extractor hood, ill attach some pics and you can see for your self, look right infont of the cowl and you can see the rise

also im just trying to give you more options, like i said in my above post, i think the saleen hood flows with the saleen body kit better than any other hood, but its all personal preference

Sounds like the guy wants that Cobra hood.

For the record the "E" hood has about an inch and a quarter more clearance under there. The E hood is my fav by far.

    hood

i understand that, i just hate when people give false information, the guy who told him his info is just making assumptions, i had to get some hard facts and end this myth, ive been told/asked 400 times if the e-hood works. so heres the 411 so if any one else thinks it cant be done have them read this, as long as you point the iac valve coneector in the right direction your ok.
Also kenne bell provides clay with all there kits to check hood clearence.

also it will work with the stock k-member or a tublar i tried it both ways

Hey guys sorry if I sounded defensive.I am just going by what I have read. The E hood would be my first choice if I could gaurantee it would fit.I have read that the IAC was an issue but he also said it was hitting a couple of places. He has his E hood F/S for $500 but it's blue.I would hate to buy one then turn around and have to sell it.KB has only tested these blowers with the cobra R hood so they aren't any help.I found a 2000 cobra R hood for $425 that I know would work but I can't make up my mind.

i saw that hood he had for sale, its not the e-hood, the one he had for sale over at modular depot was a regular heat extractor hood, i belive the he in queston goes by the name saleen776 or something like that, anyways that blue saleen hood for sale is not an e-hood.

and i dont know what would be different, but my e-hood works fine for me????

my friend had a 2.2 fit under his saleen extractor. The other option you have to consider if your going for that heat extractor look is the 03/04 cobra hood. Some of the factory heat extractor hood cars line up awful, atleast the cobra or cervini R hood you'd be guaranteed a good fit

Are you sure it was the stock heat extractor hood?Everyone seems to say there is no chance it will fit.
