I have found a few brand new 04 leftover Saleen Speedsters S/C's. I can't find one in the color I want. I called about a black one in Florida today and they said they just sold it. Just wondering if anyone knew of any leftovers anywhere?

Justin, that guy in FLA will probably get a couple more. Also, he is very easy to talk down. My buddy had him talked down to 36k out the door and shipped to California. It was an 04 S/C loaded with brakes and everything. Just a thought.

Saleensc281-do you know how much they are asking and options by a chance?

Marcus-the guy I talked to today wouldn't go any lower than$47,000 for a SC Speedster with all options.

Sorry, not to highjack your thread, but Marcus, I thought you couldn't purchase a new car out of state and register it in California. I seem to remember it had to be a minimum of six months since originally sold and/or 3,000 miles on it. Wrong?

    Yo Mike,

As long as the car was manufactured as 50 state legal and could be sold in california new then you can bring it in as long as you pay a "use tax" which is not a big deal. Furthermore, Saleen is classified as a manufacturer and was manufactured in California so everything else is moot. And it's 7,500 miles and under is considered new.

All I needed to register my S351 here when I bought it years ago was my Saleen CATALYST sticker right where it should be under the hood. I had to declare it because it only had 4,000 miles on it when I bought it.

Ok, thanks for the info. I just remember glancing over the DMZ site for requirements when I bought my car out of state so I couldn't remember the deal with new ones. Nice to know for the future.

I just found a dealer in Tenn that will sell a black one for $39,000 with about all options. Debating on waiting a little while longer or going for it. I really didn't want to buy until Feb!!
