Thinking about getting the GT500 strut mounts. In the process of lowering my Stang. Just trying to avoid spending $300:jaw: on Steeda HD mounts.
    Any adjustment issues?

    Thanks

I have them sitting in a box in my living room. I really need to get around to installing them as my stockers are popping bad.

I got them after installing my Tokico D-Specs and Steeda Sport springs. Thinking if the stock ones popped that I'd do them but I have no issues with the factory ones. I've lowered about six S197s for friends, family, and myself and none of them had issues with re-using the stock ones. All of them were 2006 or newer though.

I was thinking about getting those myself. I hear a lot of people who do mild drops and are careful with their install reuse the factory mounts successfully. I have no doubt I can do that too but I'm looking for something a little more stiffer so I'll get a set for this added benefit.

I'd get them before I spent the money that Steeda wants for theirs !!

I hear ya! $300+ for strut mounts is a bit much.

Just ordered the GT500 strut mounts....they will be here in 2 days. I personally can not justify paying $300+ for steeda's strut mounts. So I will do the install when the mounts arrive. Going to use the stock shocks for now. If I do not like the ride....I'll get the D specs.

Might as well just order the Tokico D-Specs now ...

What you're paying with the Steedas is a couple of degrees of camber adjustability and that's it. Unless you're straight up track don't worry about high performance camber plates/strut mounts.

I've got the Maximum Motorsports ones and love them, they've got a lot of camber adjustment available in them (I autocross :) ). But they are kinda pricey.
