I'm curious to know if it can be done, and how well it comes out.
I'm really not big on stereo equipment, but i'd like my car to have a factory looking setup that plays decent.
From what i've read 93's had a cd player, but i've yet to see one for sale.
Alot of newer ford stuff has pretty decent setups and most are a dime a dozen.
I'd suspect the wiring portion would be more about reading diagrams, what i'm more concerned with how they will fit in the console.

Let's hear what some of you guys have done or seen.

Never seen it done or talked about before. I think if you're going to go through the trouble of upgrading the head unit, might as well go with aftermarket stuff.

Have you taken a look at wiring diagrams of the fox compared to the newer models you are looking to field a receiver from? Maybe that will tell you how tough an install would be?

The Mach 460 is too much of a system to retrofit, but other ford havbe the same head unit without the dedicated amp tray setup and may work as a simple HU plus speaker setup
