    Yes? No?

I thought I did. Thanks to a dumbass driver I had to "aggressively apply" the brakes only to have them lock up. I went for a nice tire-screetching slide and came MILLIMETERS from rear-ending this woman.

    WTF

when i had my 04 GT it had power windows / locks. that is all. no abs or traction control or vanity mirrors with lights in them or leather or the mach 460. it was almost a no option car i believe.

In mine I have the leather power windows, mirrors, seats, no kind of Mach stereo, but it has the TC and I believe IIRC that if it has TC it should have the ABS. I don't think I've had to test for it yet though.*knocks on wood*.

Check the front hub bearing assemblies, do they have ABS rings (hall effect rotors)?

Do u have traction control? if so, then you have ABS. They come as a set. my '04 doesnt have ABS or trac control. but i think it was an option on '04.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if the 98s came with it? A couple a times I have locked my tires up while a couple of times they didn't. Is there any way to check?

If you have traction control, you have ABS. They came as a set. No trac control = no ABS

98s didn't come with a TC option. Does that mean they didn't come with a ABS option?

My 04 GT doesn't have ABS or traction control.

Weird thing is, it has leather, premium interior with all the bezels and pedal covers and crap, Mach 460, power everything. Only thing it doesn't have is ABS/traction, and an overhead storage net.

Bezels? I'm not sure what you are referring to, but there were no bezel options in 2004.

Pedal Covers - there were no pedal cover options for the GT (it was an option as part of the Interior Upgrade Package for the Mach 1) in 2004.

Overhead Storage Net - not available in 2004. It was a short lived feature...in 2002 and I think maybe 2003 also. I had one in my 2002 and it was great to hold my wallet, but in the FL sun it had a tendency to soften my credit cards big time :notnice:)

I have an 02 with TC and ABS and mine works fine. I have had to use it a few times due to dumbass drivers. If you do have ABS and your brakes locked up than you need to get your ABS system checked out. Your brakes will lock up a little even with ABS. I don't know if this is true, but I have heard that if you get air in the ABS system than it will not work properly.

    Good luck

I still have my 2002 Ford catalog and it shows ABS / Traction Control on both the Deluxe and Premium models as standard.

There's also the possibility a previous owner had an issue with the ABS, and ended up pulling the bulb from the cluster. Do a gauge and bulb test to see if the ABS and brake lights illuminate. If your ABS one does not, then there may very well be a problem with your ABS. Mine's disabled due to the rear gear change.

Probably referring to the painted HVAC tower frame and the shifter bezel, included in the IUP you mention below. Though it isn't hard to get a hold of these items in the aftermarket, or from another car and snap 'em in place. I can't count how many times I've taken my bezels off for shifter install, stereo swap, etc. LOL.

Well, no pedal "covers" per se, but they were actual pedals...and yes, also part of the IUP as you state. The IUP was actually available in the '01 Bullitt, 2003 GT and Mach 1 models as well...but IIRC, it was only available as an option in the GT Premium (not Deluxe) and may have been standard in the Bullitt. I can verify this because my 2003 GT Premium has the IUP. Again, the pedals are easy to acquire from the aftermarket...Ford Racing even sold/sells them.

Yep, my '03 has one. Used to put the garage door opener in it. Now it doesn't get used.
