Aside From Drinking And Cars, What Does Everyone Else Do To Unwind?

I actually have before! To be honest, it's quite enjoyable...even when drunk. Lol!

However, I really haven't been drinking alcohol that much anymore. I've had a 24 pack in the fridge since the beginning of football season and still have 6 left, that's with help from my dad as well.

Beer does take a good while to make, I just don't have time for that anymore. Plus, I don't want to bottle it. Maybe one day I'll buy the supplies to do it again.
It does take time, no doubt. Bottling does suck as well. I finally ponied up enough to keg my beer.

Then you can slay Nutzingo on Boltzon IV in the Doorhinge-agon sector of Yourcar-too-een.

(Or one of the many other remote sectors that that scumbag needs slaying..........)

PC gamer, built my own rig and play World of Tanks, Need For Speed Most: Wanted, Train Simulator, World of Warcraft, Star Trek Online, Skyrim, and more.

I also rode a mountain bike daily until my prostate decided it didn't like me losing weight and coming out of the depression I've been in the last seven years.

When I have time I do paintball (going Sunday) or go to the gun range and burn through about $30 worth of ammo.

I also sell junk on Ebay, and buy junk on Ebay.
I play games also in the winter, mostly when it's frigid outside as my ex wife's heart. I have a 23 year old son who is a massive gamer.

What ever possesses you guys to home brew?

There are 50 bagillion craft breweries out there schlepping their respective grogs one bottle at a time in most grocery stores. (i.e you can typically "mix-n-match" a 6 pack at the Publix GS)

Why wade into the swamp to catch a gator when you can choot em from the boat?

Andd even if it's waaay cheaper, why risk making 30 gallons of toxic swill that nobody'll ever drink?

I play Videogames, and then fam fun things, hit the beach, explore new frontiers, lots of movie theater trips. I am more caught up on cartoon flicks, then the grown up ones, lol .. Home projects is a forever list, lots of remodeling from floors, to crown molding, bathroom remodel, the works man. Working in the garage on the Mustang is very relaxing compared to the other stuff.

I work on cars for a living, really nice cars. I go home and work/tinker on my race car, then about 10 weekends a year I go racing. During the winter when there is no racing going on, I am usually in the garage tinkering/improving the race car. Throw in some NFL and a few Collage football games on the weekend and I am good. Obviously the mundane day to day stuff gets in the way of all of that, like mow the yard, rake the leaves, trim the bushes, vacuum/clean ect ect. So yeah...lots going on. Lol. Oh hey, I am going to Vegas the 3rd week in November! Yup, to go drag racing. SCSN 2017. Will not even see downtown Vegas or step into a casino. It will be a blast, just like last year and the year before.

You want honesty? You can order beer making kits at 18.
Plus it's fun and actually ended up tasting really well. Now, at 25 I don't quite have the time, but back then my brother and I used to make a 5 gallon batch together. Just a hobby. Roughly about 6 total hours into making a batch, but the 2 week waiting period sucked.

All I know was my friend at age 16-17 made a batch of Home brew (for obvious reasons)

It was so freakin bad that even us desperate to drink teenagers wouldn't drink it. It was like pond scum.

Now I know that he had done something wrong, and the home brewing industry back in the early 70's wasn't what it is today, but the fact remains that it was a giant pain in the ass to transfer 15 gallons of that liquid death into bottles, and I'd imagine that it still is.

( Hence all of the " I don't have the time " comments)

Oh, probably my biggest hobby of the past year has been First Person View Drone racing. Basically I've been building and programming the drone from scratch, and have started taking my maiden flights. No races yet, just due to the steep learning curve trying to fly it while staring at a small monitor. But it's been a fun, although expensive, hobby. And now that I have a flying (fast) drone, I realize all the mistakes I made in it's design, and need to build another one.

As a side byproduct hobby, I bought a 3D printer kit to make parts for the drone, so indirectly I've been into 3D printing too. I made myself some nice camera mounts, and get some good shots when I want to view the scenery. For the most part, I fly without a recording camera as it makes it sluggish, and I want to go fast.

Here's a shot of Boston I took from my parents house. This drone has no GPS, so flying it high is strictly done manually, and can be tricky on a windy day.

Neighbor wanted a pic of this, so up I went

But the drone isn't ideal for arial photography. That's the one I'm currently building with 6 motors and GPS.
