I am going to be picking up my new to me 1989 GT 5 speed on Wednesday. I can't wait. It has been a long time since I had a mustang. I am paying $2500 for it. From what I can tell in the pics its in good shape. I will have pics soon :).

From what I have been told its really close to stock. So I am thinking restore it to its glory. Maybe do a mid to late 90's high school build. When I was in high school all the cool kids had 5.0. GT40 top end, Flow master exhaust and a few other goodies. I have started a 306 build from the motor I pulled from my 88 I striped. Not sure if I want to put it in this car. Wait and see it in person. The interior is used he said so not sure. lol I have a feeling new carpet and redo the seats with other little things.

looks solid enough. I'd say she was driven and not overly cared for. I would first change all fluids, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter and check timing. Maybe degrease the engine bay and watch for and fix any obvious leaks, then give the braking system, then suspension a good going over.

Keep us posted!
