Digital Tuning Bama Tunes Not Good

That sounds pretty frustrating for sure, I know if I had to pull my computer more than a few times I'd be pretty unhappy. I sympathize with Bama a little though, it's really tough to get things right even with the car in front of you (I use Quarterhorse). The idle can't be tuned independent of how the throttle body is set along with the air bleeds, so it's completely a guessing game to a degree. I think their methodology works better on later model cars where you don't have to mail the chip in, they can make an adjustment that you can just load.

Anyways, choking out when giving gas could be a mechanical problem. I've had that happen with a fuel pump that's gone bad - and I've also had faulty injectors three separate times, and there's nothing a tune can do to help that. Does it run ok with the chip removed?
