I'm drinking an Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager right now....damn it's good. Says they only make one big batch of it when the strawberry harvest comes in in louisiana, and when it's gone it's gone. Check your store shelves. Anybody else enjoying a good brew?
Meh, give me a Shiner Bock or St. Pauli Girl and im good. Only "fruit-based" beer i'll drink is a nice cold Woodchuck!
Don't you Americans ever get sick of your crappy beer? My friend brought me back some Sierra Nevada from California the other week. It was quite enjoyable. It was an ale...real men drink ale.
Can you recommend a good Canadian beer I can get in the US? I am more than willing to make myself available to try beer.
I'm actually drinking an ale right now. It's new from Boulevard (Kansas City micro). It's called Lunar Ale. It came out recently and is good stuff.
i hate all fruity drinks had some sam summer tonight, i love that stuff. still think the best one is winter lager.
I'd love to. I'd just need to figure out what they sell in the US. It's probably the same deal we get here (only the major label US beer, and none of the craft or micro brewery stuff - usually where the flavor, taste and quality is) You might be able to get your hands on Molson Export, now that Molson is owned by Coors. Don't bother with other Molson stuff. Ditto for Labatt. If you're lucky, you might be able to find some Alexander Kieth's India Pale Ale. Sleeman's is good quality. My personal favourite is Brick Beer. Probably a very low chance that you could find some in the States though. If you could get your hands on some Waterloo Dark, you'd be tasting a beer made where I live
Ales are good too, I just had a boddington's last night. Why hate on fruity beer? I guess I shoulda known better than to post in the watering hole.
