Suspension Benefits of Tubular K-Member and Flaming River Kit?

I have a ___ tubular k-member and Flaming River rack in my '89. As you mentioned, it's lighter, cleaner under the hood, and also it gives you more room to work under there. I strongly recommend this mod!

First off, I want to thank everyone for their input. Based on everyone's responses, its benefits for a DD are split down the middle. Now I'm wondering if the performance dollar is just better spent on new heads and cam for a 95% weekend warrior street driver. It's just a lot of money to spend and big changes to be made on the chance I may not like the way the car drives. Can't imagine complaning about more power and just some time and elbow grease making it pretty under the head despite that ugly ass P/S pump. Thanks guys.
