This isn't my video but just thought I would share. I love my exhaust but this is the best sounding s197 I've heard, sounds like an Indy car.

pypes mid muffler system, X pipe, LT's

I especially love the sound at 1:02

Here's another video with the same car along with other mustangs to give you an idea of how good this car sounds compared to other stangs with the same sound equipment. None of the others compare.

It does sound very nice(very racecar-like), but I wonder what an H pipe would do in that setup overall:shrug: It sure is loud, but I'd also like it to be deeper.

Wow, I have to agree that this is one of the best sounding stangs I have heard. If I had a 05+ that’s the setup I would get, it sounds similar to my current setup. I also wonder what it would sound like with a catted H. Some of the other combs I like for the 05+ are Stingers, Mangapacks and FRPP GTAs, everything else just doesn’t sound that good.

Guess I'm the only one that doesn't like it. :shurg: It sounds smooth, but it's too exotic sounding, not rough enough for a Mustang. It sounds like an Indy car or something. With a prochamber or H pipe, it'd sound a lot better.

man that sounds pretty slick! I've got Flowmaster AM Thunder's on my 2005 GT right now, and love the sound...wonder how much better it would sound with the Pypes Off Road H?

Anyone here running Flows + OR/H? Any pro's/con's I should be aware of?

I started w / flows, then LTs & an X-pipe, flows broke, switched to corsa w/LTs & X-pipe awsome sound but my cop neighbor complained so I put stock mufflers w/LTs& the X-pipe & love it, best its sounded so for:)

It sounds like my last Stang (2003 Mach1) did. That's the only thing about that car I miss. I had Kooks LT's, x-pipe, and Magnaflow catback.

    ME ME ME ME ME!!!!!!
Did I mention I'm running the Flows O/R H combo?
I love it! It is loud when you go more than 1/4 throttle and the rumble/vibration inside the car that can be felt from your feet up your legs:drool:
If you have emissions, you will need to swap your catted H or else you won't pass and you have to drive light footed near cops.

I want a pipes mid muffler system bad, but I can't bring myself to buy it because it is made in China. I wonder if set of Magnaflow round mufflers cut into the stock pipes would give the same sound? Has anyone ever tried it?

They do show one 4" round muffler with 2.5" inlet/outlet. That should work, but I have no idea on the sound:shrug:

I like the sound. It gave me the same sensation when I first heard the original Bullitt Mustang in 68. (in the movie, not in person). I applaud GT Dave's position on not getting one because it is made in China.

Thats what I am planning on doing. I love magnaflow products, they look good and fit great. I am currently running o/r H and deleted mufflers with Magnaflow tips. I was hoping to install the Magnaflow mufflers in a similar area to the Pypes mid muffs, to try and help with the small amount of trumpeting I have.

Awesome! I have been wanting to add a little rumble to the already decent exhaust tone I've got with just the Flows...welp, I guess I know what part of my tax return is buying....

I live in MI so there are no emissions testing...so looks like I will be getting the MIL eliminators as well (no tune yet for me).

    Thanks for the info!
