We all debate sound, but what about the best flow? The flowmasters look restrictive as hell. Do magnapacks actually make any more power then flows?

Yes. If you go to another mustang website, www.corral.net, they have a project car called "Mongoose," where they put on a Magnaflow catback system on a stock car, and gained 10hp and 12lb/ft of torque if I remember correctly. My SOTP feel is that my car gained a little after adding a Magnaflow catback system.

I don't think you're going to find much, if any, difference on a car that's not pushing major boost. I don't know how someone on corral picked up 10HP on a stock car.

Either MM&FF or 5.0 had a muffler comparison a while back. They tested a whole bunch of mufflers and have power and sound comparisons

You're right, I have that issue (Dec. 2002). It's all there in black and white ... ALL the mufflers were within roughly 2-3 HP of one another so don't get your hopes up too high about having the best one. Bassani's Real Street did take the trophy out of all of them though ... not bad for $186 a piece, huh? :rlaugh:

What pi$$es me off is that the muffler Flowmaster sent them is NOT the one used in the American Thunder (Delta 40) that 99% of us here happen to have. Why the hell did Flowmaster send an SUV muffler in for their test? :nonono: What are they trying to hide? They KNOW damn well what most of us have on our cars and they pulled that $hit. :notnice:

I'm going to get the FRPP kit. From what I've seen theirs pros and cons to each system. I went to a local dealers website and they said it was made by ARVIN for Ford racing.
