Allright, when you swap out your front brakes for the 5.0 swap, and all that good stuff, is it at all easy to swap the rear drums out for the old front discs that were just removed?
Huh? Are you asking about hanging your old front rotors out back? It doesn't work that way. Take a close look at the parts in question and you'll feel silly much like I've done in the past with similar questions.
Bother. Ah well. Heh, I should likely get more mechanical know-how before asking "what if" questions.
There is a company called North Race Cars who sells a Turbo Coupe Caliper bracket to convert any 7.5" or 8.8" Mustang rear to disc brakes. Uses the T-Bird Turbo Coupe brake parts and custom HD caliper brackets. http://www.northracecars.com/catalog/brakes/brakes.htm They also appear to sell a whole kit to convert to 4 lug disc brakes. I am looking at this one because I just got ahold of some 17x9 Cobra R clones and they are 4 lug. In this case Im happy to be stuck with 4 lugs.
Oh, I don't know, I've gained quite a bit of mechanical know-how by asking "what if" questions. I've also saved a few digits and pints of blood.
Hehe, nice. I was wanting to keep the 4 lugs as well, because I really want to get ahold of some turbines. (I think they look awesome!)
... I am so strapped for cash that I am almost at the point of the blood too. lol, how much do you get normaly for doing it?
I haven't donated any, although you do have a good idea. What I meant was by asking seemingly stupid questions I've been able to keep my blood(and fingers) where they belong.
