So. I managed to blown the T-5 AND the 5.0 in my 88 Hatch awhile back at the same time.

So. My question.

What should I stuff between the strut towers now that she's just sitting in my drive as a roller?

I've been playing with doing a 331 stroker or a mod motor swap. I've never messed with a mod motors though so ???. I've been kinda intrigued on doing a mod swap though. Maybe do a 4v 4.6 or a S/C 2v 5.4 or a 4v 5.4. I've even entertained the idea of swapping a 6.8 under the hood. If memory serves it's only 2.5in longer than a 5.4

I've seen the motor mounts for swaps on summitracing. I'm pretty motor savvy. If I did a 4v swap would I be able to use a wiring hardness from a newer GT and modify it for 4v use?

I'm trying to do this budget style. So I can't get a donor car. What ECM would be best to use. Unfortunately I'm going to have to go the automatic trans route as it's a lot cheaper for me to do than a manual.

Does the ECM in a mustang control the auto trans? Or does it have a seep rate TCM?
