Just curruios, what, if any, negative side affects does changing the pully on the blower to create higher psi of boost do to the engine. Is it one of the, the more the better, no problem? or is it like nitrous, under control, its ok, but too much will blow something up?? just curruios if it's a risk free upgrade for more power without fear of blowing up my new wheels?? Thanks for any help on the idea... :flag:

The Eaton was designed to run max 8 psi efficiently. Yes you can go up to 19lbs, but this is acheived by overspinning the blades and generating significantly more heat. These engines already get pretty hot and overheat the 7&8 cyl. Plus, you have to factor the heat and cold startup temps in your tunes because you will have both conditions.

IMO, I would go with max 2.80 pulley to give you 15psi and look at a heat exchanger upgrade from www.gordsfordperformance.com.

Everyone will tell you it's ok to run more than 15psi safely, but the life of your engine will shorten.
