Brake Noise Question

About a month ago, I installed new front rotors and pads on my car. The rotors are Powerslot II (Slotted and dimpled) and the pads are Rabestos ceramics.

They are working great, but I'm hearing some weird noises from them. I only hear it when I'm close to something that reflects the sound back (like concrete dividers on the highway).

It's hard to describe the sound, but it's sorta like a soft ticking sound...like a locust from far away.

I jacked the car up and turned the wheels, but don't hear anything when I do that, so I don't think the calipers are dragging.

I'm wondering if this is normal for this pad/rotor combo or did I do something wrong. Any ideas?

It's most probably normal. It could be that you are just not used to having a different brake/rotor combo??? If it's stopping good, I wouldn't worry .. Someone will correct me if I'm off base ..
