My sister owns a 2002 automatic v6 Mustang. Anyways, the other day she told me her brakes went out on the highway and had to use the e-brake to stop. Now I looked at everything, and it all checked out fine. Reset ECU, but there weren't any codes. She said it only does it occasionally. What to do?
I couldn't venture a guess as to what it might be, but I will recommend that she gets that taken a look at IMMEDIATELY!!! That is definately one part of the car that it is not worth it to let it keep doing what it's doing just to see if it goes away. I personally would probably spend more cleaning the seat after I made a mess in it realizing I didn't have any brakes, than actually fixing them. Good luck.
