Broke the manual passenger seat. It is stuck all the way forwards. Spring?

The other day I broke my passenger seat in my 98. It is a manual seat.

I pulled the adjuster to far over and something snapped. It appeared a wire was hanging low?

Before I pull it off...is it fixable or do I need to buy a new part?

If it's stuck all the way forward then it's gonna be a PITA to get the seat out. Did you try shaking that mofo back and forth hardcore to see if it would move? That's what I would do.

You should be able to look up under the seat from the rear floorboard with a flashlight and see what exactly happened/is broken. If it came off the runner somehow then you could probably beat it back on ... just check it out and see .... Probably is the spring but maybe not ...

Some wire is hanging down, it is as long as the seat...

I fixed the seat...easy fix.

There are two wires that stretch on each side of the seat. One of them popped off one of the "sliders" (one on each side)...so I slid it back on and pulled the spring over it to hold it.

Just gave me a good excuse to vacuum under it and get some of that spare change that had found it's home under there...

Quick question: Does the power seats sit farther back than the non-power passenger seat if both are "pushed" all the way back?
