Ok guys, I'll make it short and also have an illustration.

I bought a used edel performer for my 5.0 a few years back. It appeared that the previous owner had aftermarket fuel rails and had to grind the two middle (opposite) threaded bosses that are in the lower intake in order to clear. The upper I bought uses one of the "clearanced" holes. Well part of that cracked out and now I can't tighten that bolt down.

I had the lower polished and heavily ported and really don't want to get rid of it. My idea is to buy a pro products upper because it will fasten to the other "good" holes in the lower. I have a pro products on my other car and I like how the bolts go all the way through the intake instead of having the one inside. The only issue I see is that there are two "through" bolts and I will only have a provision for one. See picture below and tell me what you think. The red holes signify the bolt pattern of each (Edelbrock and Pro products). I guess I could take off the lower and have it welded but....

thanks
