im looking to do a 5.0 swap in my 85 gt turbo car. Ive found a twin turbo kit with twin garret turbos intercooler and all the piping that comes with a 5.0 with blown head gaskets and a wiring harness and computer. Im wanting to know what all parts i should get to build a budget 5.0 to make around 425 to 450 hp. i know thats about the limit out of stock 302 block before the crack. i dont know much about ford motors been a gm guy until recently buying the fox body

It all depends on the block some guys have blown it at 400 others are chugging along at 650 but in looks of that what trans do you have?

Might as well throw the word budget away. There isn't a budget build that's going to get you over 400hp.
