Ok well I have my 88gt and my 91 2.3 coupe allready but I ran across a T-TOP coupe!!! it has a rebuilt 2.3 with .030 over pistons and all stock everything. it is a 5 speed but throwout bearing is seized. looks ok driver door is dented up and both fenders or beat a lil.. it does run but need to work on bearing.. Sound like it is worth 500 bux?? Will be a project for next few years... probably strip her down and start over... wiring and all.. I do plan on keeping it a 4 eye though

    Cool find!

If it is already CFI , you can have a VERY easy 2.3 trubo project on your hands.

Before you dismiss that, you should look into what these motors can do.

    AND YES! Its worth 500!

Wow, the first time I read your post I didn't see your question about it being worth $500. I'd say it's worth every bit of that! Good choice on picking it up! I can't wait to see pictures.

Yep a T-top coupe. there was a very limited production of them. I have only seen 2 in my life.. mine and one on the net..

Well I got her home today but haven't had a chance to take pics, Ended up gettin it for 400 bux.. not too bad. needs a new interior, new driver fender and possib;y a door. all in all not too bad I plann on stripping it down and starting fresh anyhow...

What are your plans for the motor for your new coupe? Turbo 2.3 or something crazy?

Well I'm not quit sure yet. I really wanted to do a 2.3T in my 91 coupe. I am going to make this 86 an on going project car. Gonna get all suspension done up control arms , tubular k-member including 5 lug with 13" front rotors and rear disc. Subframes etc... I will probably end up making this car a 5.0 being i have one laying around not being used and I have an abundance of 302 parts from my GT in my garage... But she will remain a four eye.. Only thing I am changing is the interior.. Gonna do all 87 up interior

They are fairly rare. I've never seen one in person besides mine..I have now seen 3 more on the net but thats 4 out of how many coupes?? I'd say chances are there aren't too many around otherwise we would see more of them.. I got mine for $400. It will need basically a new interior, a new driver fender, possibly new driver door, all new weather striping, needs a driver floor pan(rusted). other than that car is good. I planned on stripping it down anyway so I wasn't worried about it I just wanted it for the t-tops
