Cam question...might not be possible....

I was just thinking if it was possible to have a cam, whether off the shelf or custom, to make more power than stock but to still idle like its a stock with no big loping or anything. Basically to be a little sleeper.

Just wondering if cams that make power have to lope at idle or can they idle smooth like stock?

probably not quite as smooth as stock but a good custom cam could give you good power with a smooth idle....give Ed C a call or send him and email

A "bigger" sounding cam can be cancelled out by grinding it on a wider LSA, however when you get into cams that are bigger than 240* @ 0.050" lift, it becomes very difficult to disguise the sound. If you run a catted H-pipe with very restrictive mufflers, you would mask some of the sound.
