cam question

ive got a 1991 5.0 with a complete msd igniton, edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 4-barrel carb. ive got gt-40s to put on it but i was wondering what cam i shoud use. some of the cams say for MAF cars only but mines converted to carb. and will it be a big difference? any help is apreciated

To answer your question about MAF cams, it is never mandatory as long as you have some way to tune your AFR. What the manufacturer is saying is that with speed density and no custom tune, the cam will give the computer fits. With a carb it's too easy to tune for fuel. So, you shouldn't pay any mind to the "MAF only" cams.
