Can I beat this car?

So a guy in our car club just traded in his SRT-4 for a C5 vette. Its a bone stock 5.7L LS1 motor. Car all original except for C6 wheels. He is already talking crap outbout handing the 5.0 its ass( I had wlked him in his SRT-4 and I guess he wants revenge. So my question is can I beat him. We will run from a 20 role(nowhere to do a dig in our town and the track is so far away so yes it will take place on the street).
