Okay, I should have thought of this while I was at the dealership and asked them to do it, but I drove 6 hours away to get my car and was anxious to get back and I didn't even realize this. In the attachment, the dealership has that sticker of theirs on the car. Is there anyway to remove that without damaging my paint??? I don't like it on there!
Gotta love dealers. Ask the customer to pay a premium price for the vehicle and then extort some free adverstising...sheesh!
Very easy, just take your hair dryer out there, turn it up to high heat and warm that puppy up. It will come off with light pressure after that. Use bug and tar remover to get the remaining adhesive off. later
At least all you got was a sticker. I was planning on not using a front plate but the dealer thoughtfully drilled the holes and installed one of those plastic plate surrounds with the dealer logo on it. They did not have the plate since I bought it out of state.
Me too! I guess my dealers helper was hung over because he drilled 3 holes in my bumper. 'If at first you make a mistake, drill drill again'. No I have to put a front plate.
I've made my dealer aware that I will not accept such stuff. They either comply or I don't buy. They comply.
I heated up the decal and removed it just a few days after purchase, as well as removing the plate frame they installed.
My car is being built the week of April 18th. I will let the dealer know not to put the front license plate on and their stupid dealer stickers once I know it is being shipped.
I'm sure they're scared to death that you might walk.... ..."Geez, Stan left, what ever are we going to do with this Mustang? Maybe we'll just use it as a demo!"
I assume your talking about the "8" which I agree is a horrendous sticker... on a Ford, just cover it up with the tag.
