I'm about to start trying some stuff and I want to read my eec. Can I unplug the computer (u4po) from the car, connect my tweecer and still read the calibration?
    Thanks,
    Josh

I may be wrong but I don't believe so. The USB is powered by the EEC itself...which needs to be plugged into the 60pin harness to get that power.

This has been posted in many places:
    "Getting Started:
    1. Once you have your TwEECer hooked up ...bla bla bla... You desktop PC users don't need to worry about this, as I believe when the TwEECer is not connected to the EEC it is bus powered by the USB cable."

So, I can "play" with the tweecer on a desk top. BUT can I do it with the tweecer plugged into the eec computer (While not in the car)?

    hmmmm......

I think you can up/down load to the Tweecer interface with usb power only

    however

Like Troy, it seems to me you would have to have the pcm powered up to get a copy of its values.

Just a guess on my part as well
