My mom's new GT will be build next week. I've heard that you can go and see your car built. Any truth to this?

I work for Ford in Dearborn and tried to watch my Mustang get built and basicly was told that since the plant is running three shifts six days a week that it would be almost impossible to pin down where the vehicle would be on any given day or shift even with me already having a Ford badge for access. The vehicle might end up being built at 3am. Also, no cameras allowed in the plant so you couldn't get pictures.
