can't get the sound i am after after long tubes

    well ever since the long tubes i put on, any muffler selection i have tried are not loud enough. even ones i have had before are way quieter than before with stock manifolds. i have had pypes and glasspacks before and they sounded good but now too quiet and the packs sounded like shet.i have an o/r h and also did before the headers. i tried dynamax turbo mufflers but way too quiet and dumped flows which i hate. they sounder the best but everybody has that sound. i just put some oval straight though magnaflows thinking they would be good but they are quiet and kind of sounds like an old muscle car or classic car, not too bad. i don't have tailpipes yet though. i almost forgot i had 1 chambers on it too after the headers and that was super loud but no tone, i took them off. i want loudish but with tone. what would bullits or LM's be like with my mac lt headers and o/r h pipe.

    I've tried many setups and when I had Mac long tube headers on my car with o/r H pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters it was ungodly loud and deep toned, but now Im running manifolds with o/r x pipe and magnaflow magnapacks and its the loudest exhaust i've ever heard on a 2v that sounds good, I can just be cruising and go under a bridge and its insane and it doesnt drone like the 2 chamber flows did which is good,

    also side note the loudest exhaust i've ran was bassani o/r x pipe with 2 chamber flows, nothing beats it unless you run straight headers lol but it has a horrible backflow popping when you let off the gas like gurgling so I dont recommend x pipe with 2 chamber flows only H pipe but change your mufflers to 2 chamber flowmasters for the loudest setup with those long tubes

    I don't have anything useful to add to this thread. It's just reminds me of the time when I had one of my Magnaflow mufflers sittin in my garage instead of under my car. Talk about bridges and overpasses.:eek: Not to mention parking garages:jaw:

    btw, what do you mean about not loud enough, not able to hear it from inside the cabin? If so, that happens with longtube headers, mostly all the noise you had before inside the cabin was due to the stock manifolds, I experienced the same thing. I had Borla Stingers paired with an O/R X pipe and once i installed the Longtubes i could tell it sounded more tame, but i would put my foot in it, it would scream. Same thing with SLP.

    that sounded wicked awesome too. the car just wasn't loud on the outside either. what would bullits sound like with an o/r h pipe

    that is why before i put some other mufflers on it, i am putting tailpipes back on with big tips.

    Damn that sounds awesome esp when you hit it, I hope mine sounds that good when I get her back. Sounds pissed as hell when you goose it. :drool:
