Car Acting Weird

I got on the freeway tonight on the way home from my gf's house and i put the cruise on and when i did the rpm's went up to 4k and came back down to normal at 70 and i just kept idling up and back down. It was really weird and it wouldn't stop doing that. Then when i got on the surface road i decided to get on it a bit and i opened it up and it seemed like i had added like 50 horses. Not that it's a bad thing but my trans felt like it a 5sp would when you shift from 4th to 2nd at 50mph. even though i was only doing 40. It's got me really confused. Btw. I've been having trans problems about it hesitating to shift sometimes. Any ideas?

Sounds like you already know what most people are going to say.

I'd take it to a reputable transmission shop and get them to take a look at it.

There's the problem.....There's not any reputable trans shops around here. Ohhh well i guess i'll just blow up the trans soo i can hopefully put a stick in it soon
