Hi,

I have a 2001 3.8L Ford Mustang. It started yesterday but died last night. Tested the leads on the battery and it read 12.73V. The electronics all work. However when I turn the key, I can hear the fuel pump engage [I assume, a soft whine] but all I get is a crank.

EDIT: Sorry, I posted it in wrong forum. :(

Clean your battery terminals and ensure they are tightened properly to the battery. If that isn't the issue, I'd check to ensure the wires leading from the battery are not loose (starter wires, battery ground wire, etc..).

Could be a bad starter, but 90% of the time it is a bad connection at the batt.
