Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

    Could be a faulty ignition switch if there is something corroded or worn it may be getting hot and causing problems, or it could be some wiring issue from the battery to the ignition switch. I've had an issue with an old ign. switch in a Falcon.

    If it shuts off suddenly (like flipping a switch) then I suspect an ignition problem. Something is heating up and breaking the circuit.

    Try hotwiring the coil directly from the battery. That will tell you if it is the ignition switch or a voltage problem. Then replace the magnetic sleeve on the Pertronix. Then the coil. Then the pertronix unit.
