i ran into a new problem. (i hate saying that:rolleyes:) SOMETIMES under wot at high rpms the car cuts out....

i was thinking it was the spark but when i let the car idle after it cuts out it idles very rough and surges from 500 to about 1500 then eventually dies. its ALMOST like a EFI car running with no MAF... but mine is still attached.

shortly after the cut out if i try to push the gas back down....nothing happens, its like the car is off..... untill i back out the pedal and it seems to catch a lower rpm and go again......then dies shortly after

    ***here is the kicker***

i turn off the car (even while still rolling)then start it, and the car acts like it never had a problem:shrug::shrug:

other than that the car runs like a bat out of hell and likes to spin the rears in 2nd at 40mph.

    any help would be great!

    thanks,
    eric

I am having a similar problem. My car is at the shop getting the paxton installed as we speak. They have everyhting on the dyno and the car is cutting out at 4k rpms. Looks like the MAF is getting maxed out, hitting 4.9 and shuting down the car. They ordered me a 90mm MAF and some 30 lb injectors to correct the problem. I'm also junking the FMU.
