Hello. my 89 Ford Mustang 5.0 started acting weird this past week. It was running fine and everything until one day as I was driving and I came to a red light all the car power just died and it didn't start. I bought a new battery and the car started, the next day it did the same thing at about a block away from when it happened the day before. So I bought a new alternartor bacuase the battery voltage went down everytime I would turn on the A/C. The car has new battery, new starter, new alternator, new post cables, and it is still dying when the A/C is turned on. Any ideas??

    all electrical?

do you lose all electrical power on the car?, or does the engine die, then turns over but does not start?

Yes the car looses all power and then it was as if the battery died. It turns over but then nothing works. This happens every time I turn on the A/C but it also happens with the A/C off.

    not sure

I'm not sure i can help, but try checking the other hot wires, if the starter works when this is happening, you know you have power to the solenoid and starter, so try looking at the other hot wires coming off the battery and solenoid. Also check[if you don't already know]if the things you are losing power to, are things that the key needs to be on for? my 88 gt had a recall on the ignition switch years ago, that i ignored until it started dying when i hit hard bumps, it would start right back up, but i had it fixed.I hope something here helps, electrical can be rough to track down. good luck

Could it be the module in the distributor.

Do you have any loose hot or ground wires?
