Car not starting after throw out bearing install

I put a throw out bearing in my 1990 lx, and now it wont turn over with the key. It will start if it is pop started though. One of my friends broke the speedo cable where it mounts in the transmission. Could that be the problem? When i turn the key in the on position the fuel pump does come on.

sounds lke the starter isnt hooked up.

check that first the cable wouldnt casue it to not start, but it will cause it to loose fluid and result in tranny failure.

the car only has one wire to the starter make sure it is hooked up and has good connection.
