Is there supposed to be a gasket between the EGR plate on the intake and the metal heat shield below the carb on a 84, 5.0, 4v?
There is a gasket between the carb and the heat shield, but there is no gasket between the heat shield and the EGR plate that is sandwiched between the carb and intake... seems odd. Shop manual was no help.
